Here we see my April Fool's gag, the "Coffee Club." Yes, somewhere in an alternative Tea Club universe, there's the Coffee Club.

My friend, Ohmi, aptly named these characters "Hana Kuma" and "Mr. Cat." Run Hana Kuma's name together (like Hana Neko's), and you get....Hakuma. Almost sounds like hakama, the Japanese word for "big pants like the kind kendo fighters and samurai wear" (how do you like my definition?).

Will the Coffee Club appear in Tea Club? Only time will tell. For one thing, I imagine Hana Kuma to be a lot more "punkier" and confident than her feline counterpart. I dunno why, I just think it suits her personality.

Hana Neko is a lot cuter as a cat, but it's sort of fun to draw them like this!
