Why
Tea Club? (and other random things)
Sometimes, artists get
hung up on perfection. Most artists I know fuss and fret over lots
of little details, trying to make a masterpiece each time. Hey,
there's nothing wrong with that. But I've found that if you fret
too much, you tend to lose interest, question why you started the
project in the first place, and sometimes drop the piece altogether.
Most of the time, though, you never even start.
I admit that this has
been my problem. One of the main reasons why I stopped drawing comics
was because I began to see it as work. Whenever I thought
about drawing a page of sequential art, I was filled with dread
over the detailed processes of pencilling, inking, lettering, and
sometimes screentoning. At the same time, I thought it wouldn't
be worthwhile to draw something unless it was going to be "perfect."
Well, after a long hiatus
of not drawing any sequential art, I realized that I should just
do it. Who cares if it's not perfect. What's important is that it
gets done, and that I have a blast doing it.
I have no expectations
with Tea Club, other than to have a good time drawing it.
Welcome to my online
work-in-progress.
Story
Ah, college...a time
for new beginnings, romance, and all-nighters. It's an insane life,
actually--and a freshman catgirl is going to need the comforting
powers of tea now more than ever! Luckily, Tallan University has
its very own Tea Club with a very capable president.
Just don't hate him 'cause
he's a bear.
